Text: Luke 16:1-9
Now, Money is one of the most uncomfortable subjects in the World & even more so in the church, which is kinda strange because Jesus actually talked more about money than he did about heaven or hell. In fact, half of all of the parables that Jesus told are about money.
Why? Because money dominates our lives and money influences our lives. It can be used for great things & it can be used for bad things. We spend so much of our time thinking about it, working for it, earning it, studying it, saving it, investing it and spending it. And so, If we don’t learn to manage our money, it will manage us.
There are 4 things about this money manager that Jesus praised & quite frankly what he wants you to know so that you will see and use money wisely.
- HE DOESN’T WANT YOU TO WASTE YOUR MONEY. Luke 16:2
- HE DOESN’T WANT YOU TO LOVE YOUR MONEY. 1Timothy 6:9-10; Matthew 6:24
- HE DOESN’T WANT YOU TO TRUST MONEY.
- HE SAYS DON’T EXPECT MONEY TO SATISFY YOU. Ecclesiastes 5:10; Luke 12: 15; Psalm 139:13-14
