Being baptized is a very important step for a Christian. We believe it is an outward expression of the inner commitment to follow Jesus Christ. Because of this, we celebrate whenever anyone in our church family makes this public declaration.

Frequently asked baptism questions:
  1. What is the meaning of baptism?
Baptism is a symbol of our commitment to God. When a person is baptized he/she is making an outward declaration of and inward transformation. 1 Peter 3:21 tells us that Baptism is the way in which we present a clear conscience to God.
  2. Do I need to get baptized?
Yes. However, it is important to note that baptism does not save you but is an outward declaration that you have decided to act on the confession you made to follow Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9 says, “if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.”
  3. What will happen at my baptism?
WCWC baptismal services are usually scheduled on a Sunday evening. At the baptismal service candidates are usually seated with other candidates in a designated area. Each candidate will be directed by an usher to the baptismal pool where they will share their testimony and then be baptized by immersion in water.
  4. What do I need to do if I want to be baptized at World Changers Worship Center?
We agree with Romans 10:9 that says “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.” At WCWC the fist step toward baptism is confessing your sins and accepting Jesus in your heart, whether in private or in public. After you have done so you can speak to one of our pastors or a ministry team leader to enroll in the new believers class. This class runs consistently through out the year. You are free to join at any time. However, you don’t have to complete the class in order to get baptized.
