Part 2: 5 Financial Habits of Financial Health
It was a Chinese philosopher who said, watch your thoughts for they become words, watch your words for they become your actions, watch your actions for they become your habits, and watch your habits for they become your character, and watch your character for they become your destiny…
According to the philosopher, our habits form our character which means if we have good financial habits we will have a good financial character. However, if we have bad financial habits we will have a bad financial character.
There are 5 biblical financial habits that we must develop in order to have good financial health:
- Always remember God is my source. (Romans 11:36)
- I must honour God first. (Proverbs 3:9-10)
- Commit everything to God. (Proverbs 3:16)
- Plan my spending. (Proverbs 20:21)
- Keep good record. (Proverbs 27:23-24)
