Text: Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV

There are many people who are going through financial hardship. But what if God was the one who orchestrated financial hardship in your life not to punish you but to discipline you. You see, not every financial hardship & not every financial set back is bad luck. No! sometimes God allows things to happen in your life to mature spiritually & also teach you values lessons that can make you financially strong.

Now, this is what we see in the lives of the Israelites. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt, but the interesting thing is, that they were not just slaves physically…they were slaves financially they were literally dependent on the Egyptians for everything; for food, for clothing and shelter. But watch on the day that God delivered them from slavery he also delivered them from their dependence on the Egyptians; in that their survival was not determined by the Egyptians. The bible said that on the day that they left Egypt they took the Egyptians silver, their gold, their livestock, & clothing. In other words, they plundered the Egyptians…
And so, Moses reminded them in Deuteronomy 8:18 that their wealth didn’t come by their own merit but it is God who gives them the power to get wealth.

And so,

1). Always remember that it is God who gives you the power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18

2). God uses divine favour & uses divine positioning & enablement to give wealth. Exodus 12:36; Proverbs 13:22

3). When you have wisdom, the power, and the opportunities to get wealth comes to you. Luke 2:40; Proverbs 4:7
