TOPIC: RADICAL GRATITUDE- Part 1

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:18

You see, the Bible has a lot to say about radical believers. Colossians 2: 6-7 GWT says this, Just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to live in obedience to him. *Sink – your roots in him and build on him. *Be strengthened by the faith that you were taught, and overflow with thanksgiving.

Notice he says just as you accepted Christ you live in him the same way. In other words, the way you become a believer is the way you continue as a believer. The way you’re saved is the way you live the Christian life. The way you become a part of the family of God is the way you continue to live as a member of God’s family. Unfortunately, most people don’t get this. Even people who’ve been believers for a long time, most don’t understand what it means to be rooted, radically rooted, in God’s love. You see, the first characteristic of deep spiritual roots is Continuous gratitude in that when you have deep roots, the deeper you understand God’s love, the more grateful you’re going to be. Here are 4 reasons why it is imperative for you to live a life of gratitude.

1). It honors God. Psalm 50:23

2). It creates fellowship. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

3). It develops my faith. Habakuk 3:27

4). It is a witness to unbelievers. Philippians 2:14
